A good performance from right fielder Michael Segar helped the Terra Linda Chargers defeat the Long Island Torpedoes, 16-9. Segar hit 3 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored three times for the Chargers. The Chargers now have a record of 60-32 with the win over Long Island.

Segar contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Terra Linda in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 3-2, Segar took a cutter from Daniel Williams and stroked the home run to right-center. His 13th home run of the season allowed the Chargers to leap in front, 5-3.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Segar said. "We did a good job of that today."
