Terra Linda turned a good effort from starter Troy Conner into a win over the Franklin Cubs at Ballpark of Plantersville. The Chargers won the game, 4-2. Conner got the win, improving to 10-5. He gave up 7 hits and walked 2 over 6.1 innings. He allowed 2 runs. The Cubs have now dropped 6 straight.

The Cubs had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Chargers going into the bottom of the sixth inning. That changed quickly when the 22-year old first baseman Josh Walker came to the plate. Walker hit a 2-run double on a 1-2 fastball from Franklin hurler Jimmy Lyles. It was Walker's 14th double of the year.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Terra Linda manager Elias Quesada.
