The Borrego Springs Rams beat the Moncton Mounties, 7-2. Borrego Springs pitcher and Atlanta, Georgia, native Mike Pistorio led the way. The Rams, at 53-36, sit in second place in the Northern Conference West Division.

The Rams got an important contribution from second baseman Jason Ogden, who in the bottom of the fifth knocked a 1-0 splitter to right for a 2-run double. It was his 3rd double of the season and put the Rams ahead, 4-1.

"Mike giving us the start that he did was huge," said Borrego Springs manager Michael Wright.
