The Buffalo Bellflowers earned a close win over the Moncton Mounties, thanks in part to Keith Carter. The Buffalo right-hander, who leads the NC with a 0.79 WHIP, played a key role in the 2-1 victory. Carter picked up the win for Buffalo, going 6.1 innings. He gave up 1 run on 2 hits. He now sports a record of 6-5. The win for the Bellflowers raised their record to 47-38.
The Bellflowers got a big at-bat from first baseman Derek Vance. For the game, Vance was 1-4 with a home run. In the top of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Buffalo a 2-1 lead.
