Buffalo pitcher Rich Bryan had a large part in his team subduing the Moncton Mounties, 5-2. The opposition could never mount much of a rally against the right-hander. Buffalo used the stroke of Alex Melo to get the win. The third baseman hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Bellflowers ahead, 5-0. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"Rich did a nice job," said Bellflowers manager Andy Perez.
