Buffalo Loss Tarnishes Fine Game by Philip
Both teams had their chances, but the Moncton Mounties eventually prevailed.

The Buffalo Bellflowers could not turn a fine performance from designated hitter Russ Philip into a win. Instead, the Moncton Mounties prevailed, 6-5. Philip was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 runs and driving in 2. Javy Herrera, the winning pitcher, improved to 7-1. He pitched 6 innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs, while striking out 4 and walking 0.

Moncton took a 6-3 lead on David Raney's 5th double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Raney hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Buffalo pitcher Alexis Jaimes visibly frustrated.
