Thrilling Walk-Off Win for Bats
With second baseman Daniel Friedrich leading the charge, the Whitby Bats defeated the Borrego Springs Rams, 5-3, at Eláguila Stadia. Friedrich, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2022 draft, was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Today's win puts Whitby at 43-38, while Borrego Springs falls to 47-34.

Whitby got a game-changing hit from Ryan Riggs. The designated hitter blasted a 2-run home run in the bottom of the ninth inning to win the game. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a winner.

"The crowd was boisterous tonight," said Friedrich.
