Torpedoes Earn Win with Late Rally
Moncton got a terrific performance from pitcher Eduardo Garcia, but it wasn't enough to beat the Long Island Torpedoes. Long Island won the Centerville Grounds contest, 5-4. Garcia threw 7.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the losing team. Diogo Pavia, now 3-1, picked up the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 1 hit in 3 innings. Long Island now sports a record of 34-47.

Seth Gosselin was the walk-off hero for Long Island. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Torpedoes third baseman hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"This was a good win," said Gosselin.
