Moncton and Lincoln duked it out and the Mounties came out victorious.

The Moncton Mounties trumped the Lincoln Princes, 4-3, at Mapleton Yards. Moncton left fielder Shigemori Shimizu was terrific. He was 2-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. The winner in relief was Scott Lewandowski. The left-hander allowed no runs on 2 hits in 3 innings. He now owns a record of 1-0. Carlos Balderrama earned the save for Moncton.

Moncton catcher Ricky Cortes helped the Mounties go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Cortes hit a run-scoring single off Lincoln pitcher Ignacio Reyes.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Lincoln skipper Jorge Vasquez.

Moncton is now 53-29, Lincoln 36-46.
