The Moriarty Suns topped the Moncton Mounties, 3-2, in Northern Conference action at Super Solarplex. The game was highlighted by the performance of Moriarty pitcher Jose Cruceta. The triumph puts Moriarty at 50-28 for the season.
Moriarty took a 3-2 lead on Corey David's 2nd double of the season. The run-scoring double, which David hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Moncton pitcher Alvaro Salas visibly frustrated.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Moncton manager Kevin Squillace said following the tough loss.
