Lincoln pitcher Juan Rincon did his part in helping his team beat the Long Island Torpedoes, 7-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. Picking up his 2nd save was 19-year old right-handed pitcher Armando Salas. The win puts the Princes at 30-50, while the Torpedoes drop to 33-47.

Miguel Cerpa's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth was significant, coming with the bases loaded and the game tied, 2-2. The Lincoln right fielder hit a run-scoring single off Raul Sauceda to put the Princes up.

"It's nice to step up when your team needs you," said Cerpa.
