Sanchez Slugs Chargers to 10-8 Win
The Terra Linda Chargers defeated the Saint Pierre and Miquelon Pirates, 10-8. Third Baseman Jose Sanchez deserved a large share of the credit. Sanchez went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a double. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4 for the Chargers. Larry Weese, now 2-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 2.1 innings. With the win, Terra Linda pushed its record to 51-28.

In the top of the seventh, the Chargers grabbed the lead when Sanchez hit his 18th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Ryan Doran made it 10-8, Terra Linda.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Sanchez said.
