The Lincoln Princes took on the Buffalo Bellflowers at Lincoln Grounds.

The Lincoln Princes withstood a fine game by Buffalo first baseman Danny Espinoza at Lincoln Grounds, to upend the Bellflowers, 10-6. Espinoza was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The loss makes Buffalo 49-31.

The Bellflowers had been locked in a 4-4 tie with the Princes going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 21-year old right fielder Steve Walton came to the plate. Walton hit a run-scoring double on a 1-0 slider from Buffalo hurler Chris Hawes. It was Walton's 13th double of the year.

"We'll put this win in our pocket and go after the next one," said Walton.
