Fans witnessed a whale of a game between the Moncton Mounties and Abingdon Archers.
Getting an impressive start from Mike Martinez, Moncton beat Abingdon by the score of 3-2. Moncton pitcher Ruben Torres earned the win, hiking his record to 2-0. Jim Unknown suffered the loss.
Moncton took a 3-2 lead on Dave Reisinger's 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Reisinger hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Abingdon pitcher Jim Unknown visibly frustrated.
Martinez called the win "a lesson in teamwork."
Moncton, at 41-39, sits in third place in the Northern Conference East Division.
