Chris Malone impressed in the 8-4 Whitby win over Tiverton. Malone, who is tied for 5th in the NC with a .494 on-base percentage, went 4-4 with a home run, 2 doubles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. The Northern Conference West Division-leading Bats are 60-15.

In the top of the eighth, the Bats grabbed the lead when Malone hit his 12th home run of the season. The 3-run home run off Jim Unknown made it 5-4, Whitby.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Malone told the Whitby News.
