Farhi Leads Princes to 8-7 Win Over Cubs
The Lincoln Princes topped the Franklin Cubs by a score of 8-7. Leading the way was shortstop Bryan Farhi. Farhi went 4 for 6 with a home run, a triple, and 2 doubles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2 for the Princes. Sergio Espanol, the winning pitcher, improved to 5-4. He pitched 7 innings, giving up 8 hits and 2 runs, while striking out 5 and walking 2. The third-place Princes bumped their record to 32-45.

A critical at-bat came in the top of the eighth inning when the Princes sent 19-year-old center fielder Israel Vallejo to the plate with the bases loaded. The youngster shook off the pressure and hit a run-scoring single, to put Lincoln on top, 8-1.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Farhi told the Lincoln Gazette.
