The Franklin Cubs were defeated, 4-0, by the Whitby Bats at Franklin Park, even though Dan Herbert pitched well for Franklin. Whitby is now 40-32.

Whitby used the clutch hitting of Chris Reese to snag the win. The first baseman drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the Bats ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a crucial one.

"Enjoyed this one," Reese told the Whitby Chronicle. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
