Walker slugs 2 home runs in Chargers Win
|
With first baseman Josh Walker leading the charge, the Terra Linda Chargers defeated the Plymouth Rockers, 10-5, at Ballpark of Plantersville. Walker, who is tied for 6th in the NC in runs scored with 56, went 4-4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Terra Linda is now 47-25.
Walker contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a 2-run home run. It was one at-bat among others that helped Terra Linda get the win.
"It was a solid team effort," said Walker after the game.
