The Moncton Mounties topped the Tiverton Colonels, 14-7, at Mapleton Yards. Moncton left fielder Marc Alexander was a spark plug for the offense. He went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs, a double, and a walk. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. With the victory, the Mounties upped their record to 66-6.

Early in the game, shortstop Outa Kagawa had a 3-run home run for Moncton. It was his 9th home run of the season and put the Mounties on top, 3-0.

"The guys come to the ballpark ready," said Mounties manager Johnny Hoffman. "They're going out there and doing the simple things right."
