Abingdon Tumbles Again, Falls, 3-2, to Borrego Springs

The Borrego Springs Rams knocked off the Abingdon Archers, 3-2, in Northern Conference action at Club Circle Park. Borrego Springs pitcher and Atlanta, Georgia, native Mike Pistorio had an outstanding performance. The Archers have now dropped 7 straight.
The Rams got a big at-bat from center fielder Jose Martinez. For the game, Martinez was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 14th home run of the season gave Borrego Springs a 1-0 lead.
"I felt good. I felt like I was locating the ball well and I was able to keep them off-balance," said Pistorio.
