The Moncton Mounties powered past the Franklin Cubs, 8-1, at Franklin Park. Rafael Silva provided some of the pop. He was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Chris Gabbitas collected his 4th save. The win hiked the Moncton record to 33-33.

The game turned with one out in the top of the fourth. That's when Silva hit a grand slam home run off Dan Herbert. It propelled the Mounties into the lead, 5-1.

"Rafael was ready to go. Big day for him," said Moncton manager Kevin Squillace.
