Rockers Suffer 7-1 Road Loss
|
Behind an impressive start by Danny Garcia, Whitby beat Plymouth, 7-1. Garcia yielded 1 run over 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 5, and struck out 2. His record improves to 2-0. The Bats, now 34-25, have won 4 in a row.
The Bats got a big at-bat from third baseman Justin Allery, who in the bottom of the fifth hit a 2-run home run. It was his 10th home run of the season and put the Bats on top, 4-0.
"Danny's stuff looked really, really crisp," said David Sawyers, the Bats manager.
