The Moncton Mounties racked up a win at Mapleton Yards, bumping off the Long Island Torpedoes, 5-0. Greg Forness, who started for Moncton, pitched effectively for his team. Moncton is 4th in the Northern Conference East Division with a record of 27-28.

The Mounties got a big at-bat from third baseman Steve Jackson. For the game, Jackson was 1 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Moncton a 2-0 lead.
