Franklin shortstop Mark Adams had a good game, even if his team did not. The Cubs dropped a 7-2 decision to Buffalo at Wegman's Field. Adams went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Buffalo occupies second place in the Northern Conference East Division at 31-24.

The Bellflowers got a big hit from designated hitter Daniel Cantimori. Facing Franklin pitcher Kurt Airhart in the bottom of the fifth, Cantimori pounded a 3-run home run to left-center. His 7th home run of the season put the Bellflowers ahead, 3-0.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Cantimori told the Buffalo Observer.
