Led by 18-year-old Danny Sanchez, the Tiverton Colonels knocked off the Long Island Torpedoes, 7-5. Sanchez went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Colonels. Masahide Nakatsu earned the win in relief. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 1.2 innings. He upped his record to 1-1. Roberto Aguilar collected his 3rd save.

Sanchez had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 fastball from Danny Guajardo, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Colonels a 7-5 lead. It was the 1st home run of the year for Sanchez.

"Put the ball in play and good things will happen," said Sanchez.

The Colonels bumped their record to 35-17 with this latest triumph.
