A 3-RBI performance from Alfonso Sanchez, who was drafted in the 3rd round of the 2018 draft, helped the Whitby Bats beat the Terra Linda Chargers, 3-1. Whitby is now 35-13.

Sanchez contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Whitby in the bottom of the second. With his team trailing 1-0, Sanchez took a splitter from Nelson Campodonico and stroked the home run to left-center. His 9th home run of the season allowed the Bats to leap in front, 3-1.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Whitby manager David Sawyers said.
