The Terra Linda Chargers pinned a convincing loss on the Long Island Torpedoes, 11-2, at Centerville Grounds. Eric Leinbach was a main factor in the win. He went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 4 for Terra Linda. Terra Linda pitcher Steve Bueno earned the win, hiking his record to 2-1. Mario Santana suffered the loss. Rich Hepler sewed up the save, his 6th.

Terra Linda second baseman Willie Rodriguez helped his team get ahead early. In the top of the first, with the bases loaded, he got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run.

"I loved our energy," said Terra Linda manager Carlos Acevedo. "I loved the way we played."

With the win, the Chargers hiked their record to 30-20.
