Moncton picked up a win at Mapleton Yards, bumping off the Long Island Torpedoes, 4-0. Pitcher Greg Brando was a major reason the Mounties emerged victorious. The Mounties now own a record of 24-26.

Long Island had little success against Brando and his splitter. Brando tossed 81 pitches over 7.1 innings for the Mounties.

"Greg was in attack mode," said Moncton manager Kevin Squillace.
