Golden Gophers Take Tight Tangle
The Little Rock Golden Gophers beat the Santa Ana Black Aces, 4-3, at Little Rock Grounds. The win was due in part to catcher Mike Fogg, who went 3-4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. The win was credited to 23-year old left-handed pitcher Jon Peterson in relief. His record improves to 2-0. Mike Hrdlicka took the loss. With the loss, Santa Ana is 9-8.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Fogg delivered big-time for Little Rock, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Mike Hrdlicka. The game-changing hit put the Golden Gophers on top, 4-3.

"We'll take some time to unwind," said Fogg, "and then get after it again."
