The Moncton Mounties needed 10 innings to defeat the Lincoln Princes, 9-8, at Lincoln Grounds. Moncton designated hitter Edwin Barrera had a superb performance. He slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Moncton reliever Alfredo Ayala picked up the win to move to 3-3. Jose Miranda suffered the loss. The save was credited to Carlos Balderrama, his 4th.

In the top of the tenth, Barrera hit a tie-breaking solo home run to help the Mounties capture the win.

"Games like this one keep the antacid makers in business," quipped Lincoln manager Jorge Vasquez.

Lincoln has now lost 4 consecutive games.
