Aurora defeated Newport, 11-4, in large part due to 21-year old catcher Dave Rotolo. Rotolo drove in 3 runs. The catcher had 1 double and 1 home run for the Paints. Aurora pitcher Matthew Davi earned the win, hiking his record to 2-3. Armando Castro suffered the loss. The 4th-place Paints now have a record of 10-21.

In the bottom of the sixth, Rotolo put his team in front with his 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which came against Armando Castro, made it 6-4, Aurora.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Aurora skipper Orlando Salinas.
