Santa Ana reliever Kichizo Shimada got the win, raising his record to 2-2. Felix Acosta was tagged with the loss. The defeat makes Julian 7-23.

With Santa Ana leading 6-0 in the top of the seventh, Mitchell batted against Julian pitcher Salvador Gurrola. Mitchell hit a sinker to left-center for a 3-run home run. His 6th home run of the season put the Black Aces on top, 9-0.
