Paints Lose to Warlocks in Walk-Off
The Waco Warlocks defeated the Aurora Paints, 11-10, in 10 innings at Warlocks Grounds. Tom Riggins was a standout performer for Waco. His 5 hits included 4 singles and 1 double -- this in addition to the 4 runs he scored and 1 he knocked in. Bobby Williams, now 3-2, was credited with the win in 2 innings of relief. He allowed 1 run on 1 hit, while striking out 3 and walking 1. The third-place Warlocks have won 5 straight games.

The defining moment came in the bottom of the tenth for Waco. That's when Dane Hove hit a 2-run home run off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Carlos Rios to win the game. The home crowd went wild.

"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Waco skipper Mike Schwartz.
