The home crowd had a good time watching the Little Rock Golden Gophers and Santa Ana Black Aces get after it.

The Santa Ana Black Aces racked up a win at Santa Ana Stadium, bumping off the Little Rock Golden Gophers, 7-3. Byron Bruce, who started for Santa Ana, pitched effectively for his team. The win gives Santa Ana a season record of 17-11.

Bill Kibler had a big bases-clearing triple for the Black Aces in the bottom of the third inning. With Santa Ana leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher Dave Anderson and swatted a triple to right. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Black Aces ahead, 5-0.

"Byron had good stuff. When he did get into a compromising count, he made the most of it," said Santa Ana manager Elias Quesada.
