Bruins Clip Oaks, 5-4, in CS Contest
The Westwood Bruins defeated the Orono Oaks, 5-4, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. Making an impact was right fielder Juan Gonzalez, who went 3 for 4 with a double and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. The win moves Westwood into a 1-1 tie with Orono in the series.

An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the fifth. That's when Bruins first baseman Paul McComas hit a fastball from Bill Frazer for a 2-run single. Just like that, Westwood was up, 4-3.

"I like seeing our guys get a return on what they've put in," said Westwood manager Hasan Raif.

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at University of Maine Stadium in Orono.
