Barrie Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in CS
Riding the 4-hit performance of third baseman David Nevarez, the Barrie Admirals stopped the visiting Dollywood Partons, 5-1, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series. Nevarez went 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for the Admirals, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

The Admirals picked up the win with a combination of good hitting and good pitching.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Nevarez, "to ramp up the pressure."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Stadia de Leones in Barrie.
