Earthquakes Move on to World Series
The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes are off to the World Series after an exciting League Championship Series triumph.

Ft. Wayne downed the Crystal Lake Killers, but needed the entire series to do so, with a 3-0 win tonight at Earthquakes Stadium wrapping up the series 4-3.

"It's every guy in this room that made this happen. Without us all pulling in the same direction, we don't win this series," said Chris Benedict, who earned MVP honors for a standout offensive series.

Benedict put up a .375 with a .500 on-base percentage in the series. He also had 2 home runs, drove in 5 runs and scored 6 runs himself.

The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes will play against the Moncton Mounties in the next round. Moncton won their series against the Whitby Bats 4 games to 0. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
