Huerta Blasts Killers, Earthquakes Take Game 6, 5-3
The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes and the Crystal Lake Killers will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Earthquakes beat the Killers, 5-3, at Earthquakes Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Ft. Wayne first baseman Johnny Huerta was 2 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2.

The game was all tied up in the bottom of the eighth, until Huerta delivered big-time for Ft. Wayne, stroking a dramatic solo home run off D.J. Nelson. The game-changing hit put the Earthquakes on top, 4-3.

Ft. Wayne manager Du-sung Moon called it "a pretty good win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Earthquakes Stadium in Ft. Wayne.
