Twice as Nice: Philadelphia Extends Lead to 2-0 With Walk-off Win
The Philadelphia Marauders got a strong game from starter Sergio Penichet, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Marauders took the 4-3 win over the Austin Desperados in Game 2 of the Championship Series in a 9th inning walk-off. The win capped off a fine outing for the left-handed Penichet. Penichet threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball in the win, which gave the Marauders a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the ninth inning, when Philadelphia catcher Eric Langley, facing Bob Baucke, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Marauders the 4-3 win.

Langley called the win a testament to his team's "grit."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Dell Diamond in Austin.
