Almost There: Crystal Lake On Cusp of CS Triumph After 2-1 Win
The Crystal Lake Killers moved to within one game of the World Series, downing the visiting Ft. Wayne Earthquakes at Killer Stadium by a score of 2-1. Killers catcher Pete DiBiaso did some major damage. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. The win gives the Killers a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.

With the game tied, 1-1, in the bottom of the sixth, DiBiaso had a key at-bat for Crystal Lake. With the bases empty, DiBiaso hit a solo home run off Ryan Vermillion, making the score 2-1, Killers.

"Credit where credit is due," said DiBiaso, "this was a team win."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Killer Stadium in Biloxi.
