Super Troopers Clip Alpines, 3-2, in CS Contest
The Santa Barbara Super Troopers and the Savannah Alpines will take the League Championship Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Super Troopers beat the Alpines, 3-2, at Car Ramrod Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Santa Barbara right-hander Davey Swenson had a big role in the win. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run.

Jordan McPherson chipped in a run-scoring single for Santa Barbara in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.

"This was a nice win for us," said McPherson. "It's one more step toward our ultimate goal."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Car Ramrod Park in Santa Barbara.
