The Little Rock Golden Gophers defeated the Providence Hex, 5-4. Second Baseman Dan McNamara deserved a large share of the credit. McNamara went 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs for the Golden Gophers. Eddie O'Connor earned the save, his 1st, for the Golden Gophers. Little Rock goes to 20-2 with the win.

Justin Dawson came through with a big-time hit for Little Rock. The pinch hitter smacked a solo home run in the top of the eighth inning to give his team the lead, 5-4. It was his only hit, but it was clutch.

"Some wins are easy and some are difficult, but either way we come to the ballpark ready to work hard every day," Dawson told the Little Rock Herald.
