Partons Heading to World Series
The World Series hopes remain strong for the Dollywood Partons.

The team tonight eliminated the Mexico City Aztecs with a 7-1 win, to capture the League Championship Series 4-1.

"We're rolling now," said Oscar de Leon, who was named series MVP. "The pitchers are pitching, hitters are hitting, look out. I expect us to pick our game up to another level in the World Series."

The standout offensive performance from de Leon included a .478 batting average, .500 on-base percentage, 4 home runs, 13 RBI and 5 runs scored.

The Dollywood Partons don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Santa Rosa Desperados - Glace Bay Miners series. Santa Rosa leads the series 3 games to 2. The World Series schedule will be announced after the League Championship Series finishes.
