The Carson City Miners bumped off the Newport News Wranglers, 7-6, at Miners Ballpark. Alejandro Morales hit 2 singles and 1 double. He also had 1 RBI. Carlos Flores earned the save for Carson City, his 10th. With the win over Newport News, the Miners improved to 85-56.

Carson City grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 2nd, Jeremy Hauser delivered a run-scoring single, to make it 5-4, in favor of the Miners.

"It was offense that won us the game," said winning manager Nate West.
