Moncton Takes Division Series in Deciding Game
The fans in Moncton are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Buffalo.

The Moncton Mounties finished off the Buffalo Bellflowers 4-1 in the deciding game of the Division Series played at Mapleton Yards.

They took the series 4-3 and will now head to the League Championship Series.

For his standout play, Moncton left fielder Danny Shafer was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.

He batted .448, drove in 11 runs and scored 10 to lead his club to victory.

"We could never really figure out how to pitch to Shafer and that doomed us," said Bellflowers manager Andy Perez. "Hats off to Moncton, though. That was a great series."

The Moncton Mounties will play against the Whitby Bats in the next round. Whitby won their series against the Borrego Springs Rams 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
