Closing In: Tiverton Nears CS With Dramatic Game 5 Win
The Tiverton Colonels needed some last-minute heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the League Championship Series. The Colonels got took the 9-8 win against the Whitby Bats in a walk-off at Field of the Colonels. Tiverton center fielder Federico Rosales went 4-5 with a triple and 2 doubles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. The win gives the Colonels a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Division Series.

Alex Gonzales was the walk-off hero for Tiverton. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Colonels catcher hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"Winning in the last at-bat, there's nothing else like it," said Rosales.

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, September 17th , 2026 at Eláguila Stadia in Whitby.
