Dollywood Breaks Through for First Win in World Series; Now Trails 2-1
Overcoming a bravura effort from opposing starter Mark Stuart, the Dollywood Partons slipped past the St. Catharines Blue Jays by the score of 4-3 and got their first win in the 2023 World Series. Stuart threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit ball for the Partons. The win narrows Dollywood's deficit to 2-1.

Lance Parrent had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a single. It helped send Dollywood to the win.

In postgame remarks, Parrent hailed his team's "grit."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Engineers Ballpark in St. Catharines.
