League Championship Series Game 1 Goes to Dollywood, Thanks to Talton
The Dollywood Partons started the League Championship Series in style, downing the visiting Mexico City Aztecs at Dolly Parton Ballpark by a score of 7-6 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Partons center fielder Tyler Talton went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times.

Had Colby Freese not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Freese hit a 2-run single. That made the score 7-5, in favor of the Partons.

"It was a solid team effort," said Freese after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dolly Parton Ballpark in Pigeon Forge.
