Santa Rosa Tops Glace Bay, 7-2, Claims 2-1 Series Lead
|
Glace Bay had no answer for Santa Rosa starter Mike Stack, who flummoxed Miners hitters as the Desperados cruised to victory, 7-2, in Game 3 of the League Championship Series. The Desperados now hold a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-7 series, thanks in large part to the left-handed Stack, who controlled Glace Bay throughout the contest and threw 7.1 innings of 4-hit ball.
Center Fielder Rafael Farrand made an impact for Santa Rosa, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Bobby Jones in the bottom of the second. For the contest, Farrand went 2-3 with a double and a walk, while scoring 3 runs.
"Just glad I could help us get a win," said Stack.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Keelhaulers Ballpark in Santa Rosa.
