The Providence Hex knocked off the Little Rock Golden Gophers, 11-8, at Ballpark of Providence. Mike Chaloux was a big reason Providence won. The first baseman was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs. He scored 3 times and drove in 3. John Savage picked up the win, improving his season record to 2-2. He struck out 5 in 6 innings. Dan Maxwell sewed up the save, his 1st.

Catcher Patrick Burt made an impact for Providence, when he swatted a run-scoring double off Jared Martinez in the bottom of the third. For the contest, Burt went 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times.

"We'll pop the top on a cold beverage and get back to work tomorrow," Chaloux said.

The loss lowers the Little Rock record to 19-2.
