The Huntsville Rockets got a strong performance from pitcher Paul Dolezal, who stymied the Grand Rapids offense en route to a 4-1 win in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. The Jet Hawks could never get a bead on the right-handed Dolezal, who threw 6.0 innings of 3-hit ball. The Rockets now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Mike Ellis dealt the Jet Hawks a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with the bases loaded and Huntsville leading 2-0, Ellis hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run single.

Ellis said afterward that his team has grown over the course of the season, adding: "It feels good when a plan comes together."

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, September 23rd , 2025 at Jet Hawks Ballpark in Grand Rapids.
