Wildcard Game Game 1 Goes to Cincinnati, Thanks to Baltzley
The Cincinnati Royals powered past the visiting Indianapolis Eagles, 11-2, in the opener of the Wildcard Game at The Castle. Cincinnati designated hitter Andrew Baltzley was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 3 times and drove in 5, to lead the charge. The Royals now lead the series 1-0.

Baltzley had an important at-bat with runners on 1st and 2nd in the bottom of the eighth, when he hit a 3-run home run. The Royals went on to win.

"I just tried to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Baltzley.

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 28th , 2024 at Eagles Stadium in Indianapolis.
