Almost There: Winchester On Cusp of CS Triumph After 3-2 Win

The Winchester Mountaineers moved to within one game of the World Series, downing the Encinitas Eskimo Brothers on the road at EBDBBNB Park by a score of 3-2. Mountaineers right-hander Ryan Warren had a strong outing. He threw 5.1 innings allowing 1 run. The win gives the Mountaineers a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 League Championship Series.
Josh Laster helped out the Winchester cause in the top of the eighth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 4.
"I'll probably toss and turn tonight," Encinitas manager Logan Greening said, following the tough loss.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at EBDBBNB Park in Mobile.
