The Hickory Crawdads and the Orono Oaks will take the Division Series to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Crawdads beat the Oaks, 3-2, at Crawdad Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Hickory left-hander Ricardo Martinez had a big role in the win. He threw 6.1 innings of 3-hit ball.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Crawdads had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fourth, when center fielder Pete Kincaid hit a 2-run single. The single came off Glenn Ward and made the score 2-0, Crawdads. Kincaid went 1-3. He drove in 2 runs.

Martinez attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Crawdad Park in Hickory.
