Riding the 3-hit performance of third baseman Marc Brooks, the Ft. Wayne Earthquakes stopped the visiting Riverside Wolverines, 7-5, in Game 2 of the League Championship Series. Brooks went 3 for 5 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs for the Earthquakes, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Ft. Wayne took a 5-4 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning, when Francisco Mendez hit a clutch solo home run to bring Earthquakes fans to their feet.

"You need to show up when your number's called," said Mendez.

The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, September 22nd , 2026 at Wolverines Ballpark in Riverside.
