Nationals Lose Third Straight, 11-3
The Ft. Wayne Earthquakes moved to within one game of the League Championship Series, downing the Jacksonville Nationals on the road at Nationals Park by a score of 11-3. Earthquakes right-hander Miguel Guzman had a strong outing. He threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The win gives the Earthquakes a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Division Series.

Ft. Wayne used the hitting of Guadalupe Uriostegui to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Earthquakes on top, 3-0. For the game, Uriostegui had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"We did more than enough to get the win," said Guzman.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Nationals Park in Jacksonville.
